Magic in Fate

Cantrips

The equivalent of these 5e cantrips are available to anyone who has the aspect or aspects to justify them:

  • Prestidigitation
  • Thaumaturgy
  • Druidcraft
  • Light (requires components)
  • Dancing lights (requires components)
  • One damaging spell. Feel free to create your own
  • Other magical effects that are well suited to be represented by tags. Like blessings, guidances, insights, boons and banes

Plasmids

Uses Wonder & Wickedness (except that "Maleficence" is a cantrip, see above; and thus "Magical defense" against cantrips is a cantrip and against plasmids it's a plasmid). Whenever W&W asks for "sorcerer level" it's how many stunts you have spent on magic (you also need at least one aspect). Starting with at least one stunt spent on magic gives you three random spells known; all other spells need to be learned in play.
