This mosque was founded by a sailor, Velmar min-Hakiyah who is more often called The Brine Hand ("Salta Handen").

Umaji min-Hakiyah is the current priest. He has five novices:

• Namarida (in charge when Umaji is away)
• Wudei'a
• Hafam
• Ahmad
• Zobeiza

and two acolytes:

• Thirsty Salt
• Clever Copper

Currently the dead body of Lamsa abd-Husam rests here, awaiting a raise spell.
