As a buff to the Beastmaster Ranger, you can use the Beast of the Air or the Beast of the Earth, listed under "Ranger Companion Options" in this UA.

The other class feature variants in that UA (whether ranger or other classes) are not legal yet. They look pretty good though so maybe they will become legalized in the future.
